Accepting these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or hire Apex State College Spray Foam Insulation, an insulation contractor in State College, PA. By browsing the site, sending a request through it or scheduling work with us, you agree to these terms.

If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. You're still welcome to call us at (814) 996-0002 to ask a question before you decide anything.

What we do

We insulate and air seal homes and commercial buildings. That includes spray foam, blown-in and attic insulation, crawl space and basement work, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation. The pages on our home page and service pages describe this work in general terms, so treat them as information, not as a promise about your particular house.

Every house is different, and some conditions only show up once we're in the attic, the walls or the crawl space. The work we actually do for you is the work written in your estimate or contract. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no pressure and no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure during the visit, and it lists the work, the materials and the price we're offering.

If we open up an area and find something the estimate didn't cover, such as wet or contaminated old insulation, hidden damage or blocked vents, we'll stop and talk with you before doing extra work. Any change to the scope or the price needs your approval first.

Prices mentioned anywhere on this website are general information. Only a written estimate from us sets the price for your job, and it holds for the period stated on it.

Scheduling and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Weather, material deliveries, access to the work area and conditions we find on site can move that date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know.

You agree to give our crew safe access to the areas we're working in and to clear stored items from attics, crawl spaces and work areas unless we've agreed to handle that. For spray foam and some other materials, you also agree to follow our instructions about leaving the house and waiting until the re-entry time we give you, which is when it's safe for people and pets to come back inside.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can. Any cancellation terms or charges for materials already ordered are set out in your estimate or contract.

Payment

Payment amounts, due dates and accepted payment methods are stated in your estimate or contract. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is settled, and we may charge any late fees or collection costs that your contract allows and Pennsylvania law permits.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We're licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job, and any warranty a material maker offers, is limited to the terms written in those documents.

Apart from those written terms, we don't promise any particular result, such as a specific drop in your power bill or a set temperature in a room. Comfort and energy use depend on many things outside our work, including your heating and cooling system, windows, ductwork, how the house is used and the weather.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage caused by later changes to the house by others, roof or plumbing leaks, pests, flooding, misuse or normal settling of loose fill over time.

This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't guarantee that every page is complete, current or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent Pennsylvania law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a room, higher utility costs or lost income.

We aren't responsible for conditions that existed before we started, such as hidden mold, rot, old wiring or problems with work done by others, unless our contract says we will repair them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling a disagreement

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call us first. Most issues get settled by looking at the job together, and we'll make a good faith effort to sort it out with you directly.

If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to a court with jurisdiction in Centre County, Pennsylvania, unless your contract sets out a different process.

Governing law

These terms, this website and any work we do are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't alter an estimate or contract you've already signed unless we both agree in writing.

If you have a question about these terms, call us at (814) 996-0002 or reach us through our Contact page.
